Aggrieved Ciscon Staff Warri Seal Off Office Premise (Photos)

Aggrieved staff of Ciscon Nigeria Limited (an oil servicing Mudlogging company) located in Warri had sealed off the entrance to their office premise. The sealing of the Warri office was done in conjunction and directive from Ciscon staff PENGASSAN chapter from their head office in Port Harcourt.

The staffs decry nonpayment of salaries and field allowances, non remittance of their tax, pension fees, staff welfare and cooperative deductions by the company to appropriate quarters, intermittent changes in the condition of service and staff manual without warning, verbal reduction of staff allowances among others. The aggrieved staff complained that their Pension have not been remitted to their various pension companies for over two years even though the company had been deducting it from their salaries.

These agitations came up barely one day after the company made a drastic decision and asked all its personnel to stay at home without an official memo that they will be called upon when needed and that personnel will not have access to the company premise if they were not called even though they have valid company identity cards. The personnel saw this as a calculated breach by the company which was tantamount to unceremonious dismissal/sack of staff and therefore called upon their union (PENGASSAN) to come to their heed and take action. The Warri and Port Harcourt offices were therefore sealed off by directives from PENGASSAN while the agitations and chanting of solidarity songs continues at the company entrance daily.
