Ebola: Family Of Late Infected Nurse On The Run While FG Records NEW 139 Cases, 9 Confirmed


It has emerged that the husband and children of the nurse who died of Ebola are on the run.


According to reports, the Nigerian Health officials confirmed that they were on the look out for the family.

The late nurse contacted the virus from Late Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian man who brought the virus into the country and she happened to be one of the medical staff attending to him.


Meanwhile, the Minister of Health to the Federal Government revealed that 139 people are under surveillance with 9 confirmed cases.

He said:
“The total number of cases, as of this morning, (Friday) stands at nine out of which eight are Nigerians and one American-Liberian.Out of the nine confirmed cases, seven are alive and are receiving treatment In Lagos.
“I am saying this to enlighten people that having Ebola does not mean you have been condemned to death, survivors have been recorded."
President Jonathan has declared Ebola a national emergency with N1.6billion  awarded to fight and contain the alarming situation.
