A professor at the University of Manchester, Nicholas Goddard, has been shamed after he was spotted in a p0rn movie by one of his students. The divorced father-of-three and a respected Chemical Engineering lecturer, whose academic career spans almost 35 years,resigned after he was unmasked as a p0rn star working under the stage name 'Old Nick'....

Kaduna Refinery To End Fuel Scarcity In The North In 2 Weeks- NNPC
Officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) on Saturday stated that the crippling fuel scarcity in the northern part of the country will be over in the next two weeks following the completion of repairs on the vandalized pipelines supplying crude oil to Kaduna Refining and Petro-chemical Company (KRPC).
The officials also said the KRPC is ready to commence production.
The Group Executive Director (GED) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Off-Stream sector, NNPC, Alhaji Bello Rabiu Barbuda, gave the assurance when he embarked on a facility tour of the KRPC Plant.
We've Been Visiting Nnamdi Kanu In Prison — UK Govt
The United Kingdom says it has been visiting the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi kanu, in prison.
A spokesman for the British High Commission, Mr. Joe Abuku, said this in an email sent to our correspondent on Friday.
Abuku said this in response to an email regarding Kanu’s letter to the High Commission.
The statement read, “We have provided assistance to Mr. Kanu since his arrest in October last year, including visiting him regularly in prison and attending court appearances in an observation capacity.”
ISIS kills 15 of its members for 'spying' following assassination of senior ISIS chief
ISIS has killed 15 of its members for spying on them, in what is the largest execution carried out by the terrorist organisation on it self. This comes following the assassination of senior Islamic State terrorist boss, Abu Hija al-Tunisi, who was killed on Wednesday in an air strike. Some senior ISIS figures feel some of it's members snitched on the terrorist organisation.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the 15 military commanders were killed in a countryside near Raqqa for 'espionage and corruption on Earth' and 'impersonating al-Hisba (ISIS religious police) members'.
FG Returns Petrol Subsidy, Retains Official Pump Prices
The Federal Government on Saturday recommenced the payment of subsidy on petrol as it subsidised the commodity by N5.84 for every litre of premium motor spirit consumed in Nigeria.
Subsidy on petrol was stopped in January after the review of the pricing template of the product by the government.
It also announced that the current official pump prices of petrol would remain at N86 per litre when purchased at filling stations run by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and N86.5 per litre when sold at outlets operated by other oil marketers.

Arrest, Prosecute Tinubu Immediately - PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has challenged the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to immediately arrest and prosecute Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the disclosure by the CCB lawyer, Rotimi Jacobs, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, that he was erroneously discharged by the CCT in the trial for holding 10 foreign accounts contrary to section 7 of the CCB & Tribunal Act, Cap 15 LFN, 2004 as amended.
In a statement by the Lagos state Publicity Secretary, Mr. Taofik Gani, the PDP charged that the “learned SAN made the disclosure in his opposition to the application by Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, that he be discharged.”

Egypt blocks Facebook’s free Internet service
Egypt blocked Facebook Free Basics Internet service at the end of last year after the U.S. company refused to give the Egyptian government the ability to spy on users, according to sources.
Free Basics, launched in Egypt in October, is aimed at low income customers, allowing anyone with a cheap computer or smartphone to create a Facebook account and access a limited set of Internet services at no charge.
The Egyptian government suspended the service on Dec. 30 and said at the time that the mobile carrier Etisalat had only been granted a temporary permit to offer the service for two months.

Dutch Prisons Are Closing Because The Country Is So Safe
In 2013, 19 prisons in the Netherlands closed because the country didn't have enough criminals to fill them.
Now, five more are slated to close their doors by the end of the summer, according to internal documents obtained by The Telegraaf.
While these closures will result in the loss of nearly 2,000 jobs, only 700 of which will transition into other unknown roles within Dutch law enforcement, the trend of closing prisons follows a steady drop in crime since 2004.
Econet Acquires Premier League Free-to-air Rights In Africa
The Premier League is pleased to announce that Econet Media has acquired the package of free-to-air broadcasting rights that it makes available in sub-Saharan Africa.
The agreement is for the three seasons 2016/17–2018/19 and Econet, through its Kwese Sports platform, will make available one Saturday afternoon Premier League match live on a free-to-air basis each weekend of the season.
The matches, along with weekly preview and review shows, will be available in 50 countries across the region.
Profits down at Union Bank, turnover up
Union Bank of Nigeria Plc on Friday announced gross earnings of N118.4 billion for the financial year ended December 31, 2015.
The figure represents an eight percent increase over the N109.8 billion declared in 2014.
The bank’s profit before tax stood at, ₦18.1 billion compared with ₦20.7 billion posted in the preceding period of 2014 including gain on sale of subsidiaries.
The bank stated that net interest income grew by six per cent to ₦53.8 billion against ₦50.6 billion in 2014, while asset yield stood at 16.4 per cent compared with 14.9 per cent in the previous year.
IMF Cuts Nigeria Growth Forecast Yet Again
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Thursday that it has again cut its growth forecast for Nigeria as the oil exporter faces "substantial challenges" from low crude prices.
In its annual review of Nigeria's economic situation, the IMF said that gross domestic product growth would slow to 2.3 percent in 2016 from an estimated 2.7 percent in 2015. In February, after IMF officials visited the country, the Fund had forecast 3.2 percent growth for Nigeria in 2016.

Nollywood Actor Ceejay Perez Dies In Fatal Motor Accident(photos)
Fast-rising Nollywood actor, Ceejay Perez has lost his life after getting involved in a fatal motor accident yesterday.
The tragic incident occurred in Onitsha, Anambra State, claiming the actor’s life and the lives of four other passengers that were in the car. Reports say the car was going at top speed when it ran into a drainage, leaving the vehicle extremely totalled.
Ceejay Perez, who is from Isuofia in Anambra state, has starred in some movies produced in Asaba, Delta State.
South Korea To Establish Cultural Creation Convergence Belt In Nigeria
The Republic of South Korea said it would establish a Cultural Creation Convergence Belt (CCCB) in Nigeria to enrich the development of Cultural contents industry between Nigeria and Korea.
Mr Noh Kyu-duk, the South Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, made this known during a media chat with newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja.
Kyu-duk said the CCCB would comprise six institutions.
One In Every Four Nigerian Has Mental Disorder - Dr. Vincent Udenze
According to the Medical Director, Synapse Services Resource Centre, Dr. Vincent Udenze, one in every four Nigerian is living with one form of mental disorder or another.
Udenze further noted that one in seven persons would suffer a serious episode of mental illness in their lifetime.
Udenze made this startling prognosis at the inauguration of the centre at Lekki, Lagos.
According to the mental health specialist, Nigerians suffer the consequences of mental health problems due to the acute shortage of registered health facilities and the stigma attached to the condition.
