A new video is reported to have been released to AP by Boko Haram men showing the beheading of a man said to be the Nigerian Pilot who co-piloted the missing Naval airforce jet.

Churchgoers in Russia have begun worshipping a tree after claiming that religious icons with the faces of Jesus and the saints appeared on its trunk. The images began to appear on the birch tree in the village of Burmakino in central Russia's Kirov Oblast last month in the places where gardeners had trimmed off old branches. Villager Valentina Naumova said: 'We thought nothing of it until the tree started to form these arched shapes, just like church icons. 'Then the faces of Jesus and his disciples began to appear in them and we realised this really must be God's work.It seems to me that they had come to us because they wanted to tell us something.'

Fresh facts have emerged in the case of the first person to be diagnosed with the deadly Ebola virus in the U.S. as officials of the United Airlines yesterday confirmed that he flew into Dallas on a pair of the airlines flights on the 20th September, 2014.The airline said the Ebola-stricken passenger who was diagnosed with Ebola after traveling from Liberia to the U.S. traveled on its Flight 951 from Brussels to Washington’s Dulles International Airport and then connected to its Flight 822 to Dallas.

Onitsha—Nigeria Union of Teachers in Anambra State has threatened to go on strike should the state government fail to fully provide facilities to check Ebola virus disease in primary and secondary schools as it earlier promised.Chairman of the union, Mr. Ifeanyi Ofodile said the teachers in the state were asked to resume in September as directed by the Federal Government following governor Willie Obiano’s promise to provide the basic facilities including boreholes to schools to help check the disease.
