Owerri man kills girlfriend for rejecting his marriage proposal after he pays her school fees

POLICE in Imo State have begun investigating the death of Onyinyechi Okegbulam from Egbu in Owerri North Local Government Area who was killed by her boyfriend for refusing his marriage proposal.   In a gruesome murder, the 22-year-old Onyinyechi was, until her untimely death, a final year student of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede in Owerri West Local Government Area of the state. She was apparently shot in the head at close range by her supposed boyfriend in the village after she rejected his offer of marriage.   Eyewitnesses said that the deceased was lured out of her family home by the boyfriend at night after she rejected him and was then shot. Another source claimed that soon after shooting the girl, the young man tried to smuggle Onyinyechi’s lifeless body into his car but scampered for safety when a woman raised alarm, which attracted several people to the scene.

The Lagos state police command has arrested 44 year old Emmanuel Udoh, a native of Ini Local government area of Akwa Ibom state for having repeated sexual intercourse with his own daughter at his home at 2 Ajasa Command Road, Meiran, Lagos state on September 13th. Emmanuel who is separated from the victims mother, regained custody of his daughter in October after the victim's mother brought her back to him so she could further her education.

A drugs trafficker, Clodoaldo Antonio Felipe, 44, dressed up as a 70-year-old woman and attempted to walk out of Coronel Odenir Guimaraes Prison in the city of Aparecida de Goiania with other inmates’ relatives after visiting time was over. But his bulky body and quick stride aroused the suspicion of a prison guard as he approached the metal detector and last security checkpoint. The guard tailed him and grabbed him after he ignored requests to stop.

Son charged in parents' killing was to be cut off from their will

The month before his parents disappeared, police say Kyle Navin wrote that he had the "perfect plan" to get "$ for life.". Then, a few days before they vanished, Navin's mother confided in a friend that she and her husband planned to cut him out of their will.

Now, the adult son of a trash hauling businessman and a school library aide faces allegations he killed his parents and dumped their bodies in the yard of a vacant home in a well-to-do Connecticut town.

State police said Navin, of Bridgeport, faces two counts of murder and murder with special circumstances in the deaths of his parents, who had been missing since August 4. His girlfriend has also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and hindering prosecution.

The bodies of Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, of Easton, were found Thursday outside a vacant home in neighboring Weston.
