Angola Expelled from CAF 2015 for rejecting to host the African Cup Of Nations

The oil-rich state was considered one of the front-runners to step in to stage the continental showcase after Morocco were stripped of the right to host it, AFP reports.
The North African country, who were also expelled from the 2015 competition, fell afoul of organisers CAF for calling for a postponement citing the deadly Ebola epidemic.

Chisos!! Tougher times ahead, says Okonjo-Iweala

The Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Thursday said the country would this month begin to feel the impact of the falling global oil prices, which started in June.
Consequently, she said the country needed to brace for tougher times ahead by reviewing its expenditures and building economic buffers through budgets that would be based on modest oil prices.
According to her, sound macroeconomic management is crucial to Nigeria at this time, while also emphasising the need to plug all revenue leakages.
The minister spoke in Lagos at the Africa Financial Summit organised by the Institute of International Finance and Access Bank Plc.
“We have not seen the impact of the falling oil prices in Nigeria; it will start this month. We have to drive the non-oil revenue base to be able to weather the storm that is coming,” Okonjo-Iweala said.
She, however, said Nigeria was not alone in the coming economic storm, pointing out that a large number of African countries that relied on commodity export as the mainstay of their economies would also be affected by the global fall in the prices of such commodities.

“My people, in 2015 I will be the president of the country. Three months ago when I said I want to be president they asked, “Can an Igboman be president? But now when they count those contesting for president they will first count Rochas Okorocha, before Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and Kwankwaso. When they said they have zoned the presidency to the North, I asked, When was the meeting held? Now we have zoned it to Igboland. In 2015, there will be a turnaround in the fortunes of Ndigbo. They only know themselves; they don’t care about Igbo. APC is an emergency party for a new Nigeria; I would not have joined APC if PDP was doing well. We will defeat PDP in 2015,”

I Left Deeper Life Church Because A Tv Set Was Called The Devil’s Box- Fiery Cleric Tunde Bakare Explain

Pastor Tunde Bakare has in the past explained why he left The Redeemed Christian Church Of God to start his own ministry, but has never really explained why he left Deeper Life Bible Church in the first place for RCCG. In a new interview with CityPeople Magazine the Pastor explained the real reason that made him leave the church in the 80’s. See the rest below...

I was in Deeper Life for five years, between 1978 and December 1983. Brother Kumuyi was and is still a great teacher of the Word. The person that put the fear of God in me was Brother Kumuyi. He laid the foundation for systematic teaching that many people see me do today. However, I rose through the ranks. I preached while I was there and conducted youth meetings. I was doing some legal works for the ministry also.I registered some of their companies. But one day while I was ministering and a brother was interpreting, I was giving example of the “faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God” and I said, ‘Supposing you go to a supermarket to buy soap, you might not know what soap to buy but because you watched the advertisement of Joy soap on television, then you would look for Joy soap because you have been hearing about it.’

Emeka Ihedioha, she slapped the Chairman who in retaliation, slapped the amiable senator severally till people came to her rescue.

It would be recalled that Senator Chris Anyanwu's call-to-fame is her unwarranted ways of slapping men at the slightest provocation.
It is allegedly on record that she slaps her hu***** at will, throws slippers and shoes at men anyhow, slapped Chief ID Nwoga in public and her Hot Fm's staffers are not left out in her way of showing that her hands always crave to be useful at all times.....

Photos: Corporate beggers invade Lagos

This one was spotted at Ajah yesterday. There are quite a few of them in Lagos these days. Some of them even wear suits...and come up with different excuses for being stranded on the road and ask for money for transport to go home. The following day, you will find them at a different spot doing the same thing. Not that I don't blame them...the rate of unemployment in this country is alarming.

Borno Dep. Governor says Boko Haram may capture entire 3 North East states in weeks

The Deputy Governor of Borno state, Zanna Mustapha, while visiting thousands displaced indigenes in Yola yesterday Monday November 3rd, said that with the easy way Boko Haram has been capturing territories in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, the three states would soon be history.

“If the Federal Government does not add extra effort, in the next two to three months, the three North-Eastern states will no longer be in existence. The Federal Government has tried its best but their best is not enough because rather than going after the insurgents, it is the insurgents that are going after us. It is a big crime that the criminals are better equipped than the military and they are just few kilometres from the Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states capitals.”

Another 'witch' caught in Abuja this morning (photo)

I find these things a little funny and difficult to believe because I feel there's another possible explanation for it...or maybe its just the season of witches in Nigeria?

According to eyewitnesses, a naked woman/witch was seen stranded on the roof of a church, the All Christian Fellowship church, just before Kubwa village market around 6:30 this morning. A large crowd of course gathered and managed to bring her down. When she was brought down, they said she was naked, wretched looking, unkempt hair, skinny and was talking non stop. A few people in the crowd recognized her as an akara seller in the area.

They dragged her to the Kubwa Phase 4 police station where she's currently being detained. You can see the figure on the roof in the pic above...

‘Linda Ikeji kept begging me after we broke up…I wasn’t good enough for her’ –Dan Foster

Popular Nigerian-based American On-Air Personality Dan Foster in a new interview with Punch has opened up on his affair with top blogger Linda Ikeji, why his 16 year old son is into drugs, and more, read below:
Do you have regrets coming down here?
The only regret I had was that in 1999, I had a son in the US. I had to go to my dad and I told him, ‘Dad, I think I like my job more than being married now. I would do anything for that job but then, I just met this woman and she just had a baby for me.’ He is now 16. I was mad at him last year. My ex sent me some of his pictures and I knew he was doing drugs. He had everybody fooled as if he was a cool kid. I feel so guilty because I am sitting here making all the money and I didn’t spend time with him. You have to spend time with your kids or you would lose them. Sometimes I would call him and he wouldn’t have anything to say. I would ask him how he was doing and he would just say ‘fine.’ I would scold him and tell him to say something more than one word. I would tell him to ask me questions and he would say he didn’t know what to say.
